Formal Dining Room

Tables of four or five are set for dinner, which is provided seven days a week. Table linens and decorations change often to complement the holidays and seasons. Seats are not assigned; residents have opportunities to meet others while enjoying the wonderful food provided by our excellent kitchen staff. Each dinner is served at 5:30 pm based on the resident's menu selection for the week. Residents have a choice of two entrées or an alternative choice each evening. Sunday's meal is special and served at 1:00 pm. Special diets are not available, although each meal includes a “sugar-free” dessert. Residents monitor their own diets by selecting their entrées from the weekly menus.

Parlor

A formal parlor with couches, chairs, and a dining table for 10 is available for resident use and can be reserved for private gatherings. This room is also used for bridge clubs, & pinochle clubs, and various meetings or groups.  A large-screen television set is available for residents to use in a group setting to watch a movie.

Guest Room

A guest room is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a minimal fee. This allows guests to have their privacy as well as residents during the evening hours. Rollaway cots are also available should residents need them in their apartments. All amenities are provided during one's stay.

Library

Residents are enjoying our newly renovated and expanded library, which holds a large variety of hardcover books, paperbacks, large-print books, and audiobooks. Two computers are available for residents to use to browse the internet or play games. Wi-Fi is available in our library for residents and their guests. A game table that hosts checkers, and chess is set in a cozy location near the fireplace. The library has that homey appeal, with comfortable chairs for the residents' reading pleasure.

Recreation Area

The recreation area is a multipurpose room. At one end, we have a pool table, exercise equipment, and large tables for puzzles. Group games, speakers, musical entertainment, resident meetings, and birthday parties are just a few activities that occur in this room.

Chapel

While St. James' Manor is non-denominational, a small chapel is open 24 hours a day.
